Why do those pesky knights always attack in groups? I mean you can't just leave them lying around afterwards...
I got myself photoshop, and made this picture as an experiment in using it, and am fairly pleased with the results. Need more practice though...
Also, I'm really encouraging critiquing on this picture because I tried a lot of new things, both anatomy-wise and with tools I drew it with. Would like to get an idea of how people view the change, what works and what I might want to take another look at.

I love it a lot, and yeah, it makes sense! But because of the awesomness that is your artwork Dreigun, I can't tell what you changed in terms of making it! Well, atanomy-wise I can tell, past that I can't! And the change to the atanomy looks really well done, congradulations on that buddy! ^.=.^
I love the coloration (while it's the usual, the changes to the atanomy's colorations go very well with the green), and the posture and plot go well together. The lighting and shadowing is brilliant as always, and the look of discomfort is well displayed, even though you don't draw that facial emotion very much. All in all, for all the changes you put to it, it's still retaining your style of drawing and your incredible artistic skills. Keep up the awesome work Dreigun!

Not a problem friend, 'tis my job as another detail-frenzy artist to offer advanced critic on the itty-bitty details that help make the drawing the way it is! XD (honestly, I think that's part of the reason why I do so little artwork - because it all calls for high levels of detail!)
Yeah, I just read on your page that you reciently got Photoshop. Didn't know that until after I made my comment, but the lack of a color-filling option reminds me of OC in a way. The whole auto-smoothing on the lines, though, I'm not exactly familiar with.
And again, I forgot you had a drawing tablet...XD Well, while it's true you've got to put forth more work, that also means you get to bring out greater detail with it. Just one of those things that comes with a good and bad deal on it - how you look at it determines if it's good or bad for you as an artist. ^.=.^
If only I applied my detailed posts and artistic comments to the research paper for English I need to work on...*laughs*

Haha, yeah. If I didn't have a drawing tablet I wouldn't have gotten this far. I can't do detail work with the mouse.
Also, the auto-smoothing is a feature of flash where it tries to correct for hand quivers to smooth out lines, the downside being that it sometimes interprets intended curves at quivers and can make detail drawing tedious at times.
I can't do very good computer artwork because I still have a mouse...T.=.T I'm hoping to someday obtain a drawing tablet, but it's about $140-160 and I'm still looking forward to getting a good-paying summer job to have to earn some money. Of course, there's two things I'm needing money for, one of them I don't remember.
The other's $60 for a bunch of Legendz stuff someone I know is selling...*shrugs* Well, I know this much: I think on my commisions, I'll take down the computer stuff because I can only use a mouse and that's hard work.
Oooh...that'd explain why I'm not quite familiar with it - it's a Flash thing. I've never used that program (if it is one? I'm not sure!), so I wouldn't know that...XD Well, we learn every day and you just taught me something I didn't know! ^.=.^ Thanks!

Ah...well, if I can get a hold of it, I might consider using it - well, at first with a mouse, then later for flash animations. (Which game are you refering to, by chance? If I can beta test it or play it at the moment if it's done, I'd be happy to do so!)
I'm aiming for one too, but it's from Newegg, and it's about...hang on, let me find it right quick...well, ok, I can't EXACTLY find it. What kind do you have? Right now, I'm looking at a Wacom CTE650K 8.5" x 5.3" one. (oddly enough, it's in the 5.9" x 8.3" section)
Then again, I might consider just going to a computer store and try to find one there, I dunno. What kind do you have?

Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!

Oh, and tool-wise, Photoshop doesn't have color-filling or auto-smoothing on the lines.
Pretty much means it's more work for me, but lets me get more detailed, and is more accurate to my actual pen strokes.

The tablet I'm using is a Wacom, and while it's been a while, I don't think it cost more than $40-50.
